dianne walter art
For many years Dianne was a master weaver. She wove and designed weavings for a company who employed other weavers who duplicated her designs. This continued until health issues forced her to abandon her looms. Below is a tiny sampling of her work. The greatest majority reside in people's homes and on a series of slides that her house has eaten.
Although Dianne segued from weaving, ceramics and an occasional painting into writing young adult novels, she served as an important bridge between her parents, Dorothy and Will, and her two sons, Chris and Jeff. Because of her work which included architecting the house in which the family lived, the boys got to see art being created firsthand at home and so delving into the arts for themselves flowed out of this quite naturally.
